Overcoming Adversity in User Experience Panel

UX Akron Overcoming Adversity, February 15, 2024

I felt privileged to participate in UX Akron's recent panel discussion on Overcoming Adversity in UX. I deeply appreciated the effort each panelist put into creating thoughtful responses, and how cohesively the discussions flowed from one topic to another.

During my presentation, I stressed the importance of integrating user research early in the product development process. I highlighted how it saves significant time and money compared to making changes after a product launch. Additionally, I shared a story about how a last-minute usability test kept a site rollout on track by presenting the results to an executive for approval. Overall, I found the panel to be a great blend of personal and professional experiences, catering to nearly every attendee's interests.
